BET is set to introduce their first faith-based reality show – starring Gospel legend and recording artist Karen Clark Sheard. Also featured in the reality show is Gospel star Kierra Sheard (daughter) who recently announced via twitter the release date for the new show titled ‘The Sheards’.
UPDATE: Now BET has released the video trailer that gives us a sneak peak of what the show is all about (below).
Karen Clark Sheard is a member of the famous “Clark Sisters,“ and for years has enjoyed a successful solo career. Karen is all about family and that’s what the new reality TV show is all about. The Sheard family is deeply rooted in Gospel; from the leadership of Karen’s mom, the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, to singing with her sisters ,“The Clark Sisters,” to now having her own label with her husband, son and daughter Kierra Sheard called Karew Records.
BET is hoping their first faith-based reality show will enjoy ratings like Mary Mary’s reality TV show has received on WE-tv. Look out for it April 7th.

I CAN’T WAIT!!!! I LOVE THE CLARK FAMILY. I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING TO THE CHURCH FOLKS (COGIC) PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A BIG ABOUT THE SHEARDS NEW SHOW. PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE EVERY FAMILY HAS DRAMA SO DON’T PLAY GOD AND JUDGE THE SHEARDS. PLEASE CHURCH PEOPLE NO JUDGING THIS SHOW. IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT THEN DON’T WATCH. I KNOW ONE THING MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE IN FRONT OF MY ’50 WATCHING. GOD BLESS YOU SHEARD/CLARK FAMILY!!!!
I agree with you 100%. COGICs claim to be so saved & sanctified but are some of the most judgemental, hateful people I know. & I can say this because I’ve been COGIC my entire life!!! But in now way do I personally feel the need to cast any stones. I LOVE the Sheards and I hope the show is SUCCESSFULL!! We need more of this & less of “Love & Hip Hop”, “Real Housewives” mess that revolves around MESS!
