Comedian, Writer and Producer Akintunde is set to roll cameras on a new television special and DVD series, The Rebirth Of Comedy Presents: The Heavy Hitters on March 1st 2014 in Jacksonville Florida at Faith Christian Center (Senior Pastor George L. Davis).
Akintunde will serve as host and will share executive producer duties with wife, manager and longtime producing partner, Eunissa Warnock. The live taping will feature stand-up comedy headliners Marcus Wiley, Bone Hampton and Chinitta Morris a.k.a Chocolate with more talent to be added. Faith Christian Center features a state of the art sanctuary equipped with HD video screens and LED digital walls. “It is impossible to put into words how much value the FCC Church adds to this production” says Akintunde. The television special will serve as a Backdoor-Pilot for an untitled comedy and variety series currently in development under Akintunde’s production company and film umbrella, No Joke Entertainment and Oak View Point Films. A Heavy Hitters Comedy Tour is planned.
