UP (Formerly GMC) ADDS “THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE” TO ITS LINEUP

UP (Formerly GMC) ADDS “THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE” TO ITS LINEUPUP, America’s favorite channel for uplifting family entertainment, announced today that it has acquired the first two seasons of ratings hit “The American Bible Challenge.” “The American Bible Challenge” will be UP’s first game show and will premiere on Thursday, July 25 at 9 p.m. EDT.

UP has acquired the first two seasons of the series, hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy (@foxoutdoors), for a total of 18 episodes. In the program’s second season, gospel star and multiple Grammy® Award winner Kirk Franklin (@kirkfranklin) joins Foxworthy as co-host.

The one-hour show features questions drawn from the Bible with contestants striving to win prize money for the charity of their choice. Three teams of three compete on each show. The winning team receives $20,000 to donate to charity and advances in a season-long tournament. The season’s champion wins $100,000 for their charity.

“‘The American Bible Challenge’ is a wonderful family show that encompasses the uplifting values embodied by the UP brand,” said Leslie Glenn Chesloff, executive vice president, programming. “We are delighted to add this popular series to our schedule.”
