Joel Davis (Certi5d Geek) and Jerome A. Nelson (Wolf Atoned) transformed from “bangers” and brawlers in Miami streets, to encouraging youth to stand for Christ.
With their new hit single “Bang Dis’” featured on Rapzilla, Da South, and Z180 radio, the young men inspire youth to cease “banging” for money, in gangs, etc., but to instead “bang” for Christ, or stand firm in their faith.
Growing up with ten sisters and one brother made life dynamic for Joel Davis. It also brought financial hardshipthat pushed Davis to start selling candy at age 10, which turned to drugs only three years later. Despite Davis’church roots, his love for fast money caused him to sink deeper into street life. Davis found himself in a life ordeath situation, which served as a turning point in his life. He knew that dying to “flesh,” and surrendering to Christ was his only option. His journey as Certi5d Geek began then, and has flourished ever since.
Jerome A. Nelson grew up with six siblings in a single parent home in the Robin Hood and Little Haiti parts of Miami. Nelson’s broken home led him to being expelled from five different elementary schools, three middleschools, and two high schools. Two years later, Nelson found himself with a federal felony facing 15 years inprison. In that hardship, God saved him, and challenged him at Trinity Church Miami.
The new Wolf Atoned began writing poetry and developed as a Christian rapper, thereafter. Together, Certi5d Geek and Wolf Atoned launched Keren Yishii Media Group (KYMG), a multi-media companythat specializes in music, video production, photography, graphic design, marketing and apparel.
