2016 BET Awards Winners Announced, Kirk Franklin Gets Best Gospel Artist

The 2016 BET Awards took place last night and Kirk Franklin’s name was called once again for Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award.

Nominees for the award included Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, Erica Campbell, Lecrae, Tamela Mann, Tasha Cobbs, and Kirk Franklin.

It would have been nice to see a new breakthrough artist like Tasha Cobbs or Anthony Brown get the award, but you can’t argue with the kind of sales year Kirk Franklin has had.
