Beverly Crawford and Anita Wilson to Perform at National Association of Black Journalists’ Annual Gospel BrunchBeverly Crawford and Anita Wilson to Perform at National Association of Black Journalists’ Annual Gospel BrunchAfrican American journalists both established and aspiring are gathering in Boston this week for the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Replete with workshops, professional development seminars, high profile keynote speakers and dynamic networking events, a highlight of the convention is always the Gospel Brunch that closes out the event.

This year the tradition continues as NABJ announces that incredible vocalists Anita Wilson and Beverly Crawford will be featured during its Gospel Brunch this Sunday, August 3, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

“The Gospel Brunch is an event that is always highly anticipated during the convention,” says NABJ President Bob Butler. “After spending the week gaining insights from industry leaders; participating in learning sessions; honoring outstanding contributions to the field and meeting with peers and mentors, the Gospel Brunch is a time of spiritual renewal and celebration where we reflect on our time together and honor God for blessing us with the opportunity to convene another year.”

Anita Wilson’s sophomore album VINTAGE WORSHIP was recently released and is Top-20 on Billboard’s Gospel Sales Chart. Veteran singer Beverly Crawford released her 7th album THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU’VE DONE, in May. It debuted #1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart, and is currently #12.

Beverly Crawford says: “It is an honor and a privilege to be asked to sing at NABJ. I’ve always wanted to sing at the Gospel Brunch and pour into this group of journalists who play such a vital role in informing our community about what’s happening around us. I am grateful to be able to share the Good News of Jesus with them this Sunday.”

Over the years The NABJ Gospel Brunch has featured an impressive list of Gospel music greats, including Yolanda Adams; Latice Crawford; Deitrick Haddon; Vashawn Mitchell; Smokie Norful; Karen Clark Sheard; Richard Smallwood and CeCe Winans.

An advocacy group established in 1975 in Washington, D.C., NABJ is the largest organization for journalists of color in the nation, and provides career development as well as educational and other support to its members worldwide.
