Gospel Artist Marcia Love enjoys spreading the gospel through her powerful and captivating songs. Just releasing her sophomore album single, “Joy”, in August 2014, Marcia expressed her thankfulness to God for her healing from breast cancer through the upbeat churchy song. Now for the Christmas holidays, Marcia has released a new single to share with the world entitled, “Christmas Joy”. The single has been serviced to Gospel radio and is available through digital retailers.
“I wanted ‘Christmas Joy’ to be bright and cheery in order to display the season of Christ. I am very active at my church during Christmastime, and ‘Christmas Joy’ reminds me of the joy God brings to us during the holidays,” Marcia states.
The new single is a festive anthem expressing the elation of Jesus’ birth and the cheerfulness He brings to the world. Marcia pours her heart and soul into each lyric and note. She executes the tune with enthusiasm, power and boldness, showing her excitement for this special time of year and encouraging others to have the same for the holidays. Those who experience “Christmas Joy” will immediately feel thankful with a joyous spirit. She says, “’Christmas Joy’ begins right before Thanksgiving and flows into the rest of the holiday season. Everyone is at peace and there is kindness in our hearts for others”.
At the age of 4, Marcia Love began singing at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and Northeast Baptist Church in Durham, NC. She developed her melodious voice within the four walls of the church. Her father was a preacher and she sang at his ministry engagements, eventually directing choirs. Even through her milestones of graduating college, starting a family and pursuing her nursing career, Marcia was persistent in spreading the gospel through music.
In 2011, she launched her first release as a recording artist with Jesus On My Side. Counting My Blessings was her sophomore album filled with 12 tracks of gratitude. The first single and title cut made its way to the playlist of Kirk Franklin’s Praise Station on XM/Sirius radio. Recently, she’s made appearances on TBN and TCT’s Rejoice and TCT Today programs as well as on WATC-TV’s Atlanta Live and Friends & Neighbors.
