Le’Andria Johnson Granted Release By Music World Gospel’s Mathew Knowles, Signs with RCA Inspiration

Le’Andria Johnson Granted Release By Music World Gospel’s Mathew Knowles, Signs with RCA InspirationEverybody’s saying the right things after a heated exchange between Le’Andria Johnson and Music World Gospel founder Mathew Knowles ends amicably with Johnson getting her release.

In 2013, Johnson blasted Knowles on twitter calling him a crook, then she suspiciously released a statement saying someone on her staff got a hold of her twitter account. Johnson and Knowles part ways after a four year relationship that saw Le’Andria Johnson become a household name and Grammy Award winner.

Effective April 1, 2014, Johnson will now be a member of the RCA Inspiration Music Group.

It’s reported that Mathew Knowles was instrumental in helping Johnson land her new label deal.

“As Music World Gospel continues to move forward, I wanted to ensure that Le’Andria would have the very best opportunity to match her successes and further her talents and gifts as recording artist,” says Knowles. “I am happy that she is with one of the leading companies in the gospel industry. RCA Inspiration Music Group is part of the Sony family of labels, a company that Music World Entertainment has worked successfully with for 20 years. I am also proud of the work we achieved at Music World Gospel and I wish her the very best in all her future endeavors.”

Le’Andria Johnson Granted Release By Music World Gospel’s Mathew Knowles, Signs with RCA InspirationAttorneys Heather Beverly of the Law Office of Heather Beverly, P.C. and Chris Brown of Brown & Rosen, LLC worked amicably to provide the best long-term career goal options for their clients. Music World Gospel’s representative Beverly states, “It was personally important to Mr. Knowles that Le’Andria Johnson was placed in a thriving environment to give her an opportunity to compete among the very best.” Brown, who represents Johnson, adds, “Le’Andria is grateful for her early successes with Mathew Knowles and Music World Gospel. She was able to make a great impact in the gospel industry and build a solid platform that will take her to the next level.”

It is unclear whether Mathew Knowles got anything back in return for letting Johnson go, but we applaud everyone involved for coming to a peaceful agreement. Let’s pray that Music World Gospel will also let Brian Courtney Wilson go, who is currently being sued by Mathew Knowles.

Music World Gospel is expecting a new release from Sunday Best runner-up Andrea Helms this Summer.
