This year alone, gospel luminary Richard Smallwood was awarded high honors during BMI’s Trailblazer Awards and BET’s Celebration of Gospel for his legendary musicianship and outstanding contribution to gospel music. The gifted singer, musician, songwriter and arranger builds upon this momentum with his latest project, ANTHOLOGY on RCA Inspiration.
ANTHOLOGY, the highly anticipated compilation of new music from Richard Smallwood with Vision, is Smallwood’s first live recording in five years and marks 13 years since he’s recorded live in his hometown of Washington, D.C.
Guest appearances on the album include renowned R&B singer, Angela Winbush and the esteemed Dottie Jones from The Richard Smallwood Singers. Fans are invited to take part in the free musical event on Saturday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. ANTHOLOGY is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2015.
