Gospel artist Ricky Dillard decided to share his diagnosis with twitter yesterday. The Chicago native announced that he is suffering from sarcoidosis.
Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the lungs and lymph glands. One notable figure who had the disease was the late comedian Bernie Mack. Doctors say that the vast majority of patients do extremely well with treatment, and can achieve a normal life expectancy.
