SULTRY TENOR KEITH WILLIAMS TO RELEASE SOPHOMORE GOSPEL CD “TONE FOR WORSHIP” JULY 16th ON EPM MUSIC GROUP

SULTRY TENOR KEITH WILLIAMS TO RELEASE SOPHOMORE GOSPEL CD “TONE FOR WORSHIP” JULY 16th ON EPM MUSIC GROUPEPM Music Group recording artist, Keith Williams, has completed work on his highly anticipated sophomore CD release “Tone For Worship.”

The ten-track set of uplifting urban inspirational and gospel songs is designed to set the tone for worship at home, driving down the freeway or from the fifth row pew during a Sunday morning church service. The CD is scheduled for a July 16, 2013 release via the EPM Music Group.

The new radio single “As For Me and My House” is steadily climbing up the gospel music airplay charts. Mark Jackson, who has collaborated with R&B acts such as Trey Songz, produced the Chicago-styled steppers tune. “Serving the Lord is an action,” says Williams when asked what prompted him to create the infectious steppers’ groove. “And no matter who or where you are, you too can serve the Lord if you keep stepping towards Him. And since we’re praisers, we thank God and bless Him each step of the way.” Hear “As For Me And My House” below:

Williams and Robert Ellis, Jr. produced the majority of the album. Williams wrote or co-wrote all but three of the songs. Marque Walker, who has worked with a who’s who in gospel music ranging from Vickie Winans to Tye Tribbett, produced the slick track “All For You” and Carlos Woodard produced the anthem “I Believe God” that features backing vocals by noted singer/songwriter Claude Deuce.

Williams is a classically trained pianist and vocalist. He’s spent the last two decades as a worship leader at prestigious churches across the United States such as Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Ft. Washington, MD and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta where Martin Luther King Jr. once served as pastor. Williams’ style is a cross between the legendary Douglas Miller’s nearly operatic baritone and John Stoddard’s polished style. Over the years, Williams has written songs for Jennifer Holliday, Dottie Peoples, Vanessa Armstrong and Earnest Pugh. His debut CD, “…& Again I Say Rejoice,” appeared in 2008. As President and Creative Director of EPM Music Group, Williams has been at the helm of the production and arranging of Earnest Pugh’s #1 hits “Rain On Us” and “I Need Your Glory.” Currently, Williams works as Worship Leader for BET’s seasonal “Bobby Jones Gospel” TV tapings.
