The Rance Allen Group to perform at the 2014 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage FestivalNew Orleans will be a music lover’s paradise for the next couple of weekends as the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival kicks off, today. This year’s eclectic lineup runs the musical gamut with appearances from Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Trey Songz and none other than the legendary Rance Allen Group.

Known for getting audiences dancing on their feet, the group will bring their signature brand of feel-good gospel to the Jazz Fest audience as a featured act in the Gospel Tent on Sunday, April 27th. Their performance starts at 3:55p.m. EDT. For ticket information, please visit: www.nojazzfest.com.

The city of New Orleans will get a rare treat, as they’ll be able to catch The Rance Allen Group live, not once but twice!

The following day, the group will lift up their voices for a worthy cause as the headliner for the 2014 Gospel Is Alive concert. According to the foundation’s website, Gospel is Alive is a yearly concert that honors the “rich tradition of gospel in New Orleans…”

The Rance Allen Group will be accompanied by the Mahalia Jackson Youth Choir.

Gospel is Alive will be held at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church on Monday from 9:30a.m. – 12 p.m.
