Some of Tyscot’s long-time recording alumni such as Deitrick Haddon and Vashawn Mitchell will headline the event. Tyscot’s co-founder, Bishop Leonard Scott, will perform, as will rising star, Ruth La’Ontra, who recently earned her first Billboard Top Ten hit, “Kingdom,” with the label.
Tyscot Records was co-founded by Bishop Leonard Scott in 1976 with his late nephew, L. Craig Tyson. For nearly 30 years, Bryant Scott has been leading the company founded by his father and cousin. Over the years, Tyscot has ignited the careers of artists ranging from John P. Kee, Vashawn Mitchell and Deitrick Haddon in the early days to recent luminaries such as Kelontae Gavin, Bri (Briana Babineaux), Casey J, Cheryl Fortune and Anthony Brown & group therAPy. Tyscot is the oldest operating African-American owned gospel recording label in the world.
Tickets are $65 VIP (includes after party reception and special VIP seating) and $35 for standard seats. For more information, visit the Events tab on www.tpwcindy.org
