It was less than a month ago, when the Gospel Community was informed about the death of Al “The Bishop” Hobbs (pictured in Purple Suit), Chairman of the Gospel Announcers Guild, and Vice Chair at large of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. It has now been just over two weeks since his homegoing. On last Thursday night (August 28th), tragic news continued to come forward about the Hobbs family.
Bishop’s son, Alex Hobbs (Pictured in Uniform), lost his life, due to gun fire. According to Local Law Enforcement Authorities, Alex Hobbs died as a result of a gun shot wound. However a close friend of Alex says that Alex was cleaning his gun, when it accidentally went off and took his life. The shooting is still being investigated.
The news of his death travelled quickly throughout the Gospel community and has left many in shock.
We ask that everyone to continue to keep the Hobbs family and the Gospel Community in prayer during this tough time.

Funeral starts at 11am
Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery
