Over the past few months, the music world has been noticing a new name rising up the Gospel Music Charts, Ambassador David Gilliam Sr.
He has a strong commitment to the Gospel, music ministry and has an anointed voice that will make anyone stop in their tracks to listen. Most recently he released his first top 40 single “Be Glorified” that is now being recognized across the country as it simply glorifies God.
However while not recording and making music, any day of the week, you may find Ambassador Gilliam, preaching the Word of God from a raised pulpit to his social media platforms or at any three of his church locations in Petersburg, VA, Decatur, GA or in Houston, TX. His following on Facebook also continues to garner new followers weekly, now reaching over 117,000.
Like everything else it takes time to grow an audience, but Ambassador Gilliam attributes his success, to the Word of God that is given to him by God. “We have a large following in the Atlanta area and we are excited about developing this new location. We are also excited about the souls we are reaching.”
Ambassador Gilliam says, that the Atlanta location will be called, Impact Nation Atlanta. “While we are still growing in the Atlanta area many of our followers there regularly fly up to our Petersburg location to be a part of our Sunday services, and almost the same thing is going on in Texas. There’s a group that travels from Mississippi to our Houston, TX location every week just to be in our services there.
You might ask, why such dedication when there are other churches much closer? According to Ambassador Gilliam, “They say the Word of God that they receive from our church, they don’t hear it anywhere else,” and he’s probably right. He preaches about the return of Jesus Christ, the Rapture, the Anti-Christ, the Mark of the Beast, Vaccines and so much more. In March 2019, he told his congregation that a pandemic was coming and when it hit, he says their church members were prepared, mentally and physically.
He also said, It’s important to preach a Word that will help your followers and congregation, while also remembering and understanding the times we are living in and what to do, during these challenging times. Furthermore, Ambassador Gilliam say, “My Prophesies become the news and has for the past few years.”
However to have this type of impact on such a growing following, we asked, the Ambassador to explain his relationship with God. “I am fully persuaded that whatever God says is true. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit June 26th, 1973 at Bethesda Bibleway Church in Petersburg, VA. I do what God says, I obey Him and everything I am and do is wrapped up in ministry. I also believe living holy is critical for the move of power to be activated in our lives. I also believe what God gives me comes from the Holy Spirit and it is a responsibility.”
When it comes to the return of Jesus Christ, Ambassador Gilliam said, “I believe all signs are pointing to His return, and that could take place at any minute. This is why we pray the prayer of salvation to help lost souls get to heaven and tell everyone about Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made.”
Ambassador Gilliam says, “To date, through our ministry and social media platforms, tens of thousands of people have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. We have also had water baptisms at our churches and looking forward to embracing the new year with a great expectation from God. Specifically, we are looking forward to establishing the foundation of our church in Atlanta. We are currently grooming some people out of Florida to pastor the church there, as we continue to build our other ministries in Houston and Petersburg.
Furthermore, anyone attending the Impact Churches should already know they can expect to hear some of the greatest music on this side of Heaven. Assisting with that sound is Brian Cook, who is the Minister of Music of Petersburg Impact and Byron Williams who is the Minister of Music at the Houston location.
And if you know Ambassador Gilliam, he will always have special musical guests ministering in song at any of his location. To date he has already had John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp, Wess Morgan, The Group Fire, Lucinda Moore, Earnest Pugh, Willie Moore Jr., Shirley Ceasar, Jekalyn Carr and so many more. And in the words of Ambassador Gilliam, “We are just getting started”
