Bethel Music Drops New Single Featuring Brooke Ligertwood

Bethel Music Drops New Single Featuring Brooke Ligertwood

Bethel Music announces the release of their latest single, “Holy Song (Live),” featuring Grammy-award winning songwriter, producer, and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood

Recorded live at the Cascade Theatre in Redding, Calif., “Holy Song (Live)” is a poignant ballad that reflects on the joy of salvation and the blessed assurance of knowing Jesus, drawing inspiration from the ancient “Sanctus” chorus referenced in Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8 – the song that we will sing for all eternity, as we fix our eyes on the glory and majesty of the Lord.

“Holy Song (Live)” revitalizes this cherished hymn, also known as the “Hymn of Victory” or “epinikios hymnos” in Greek, which has been a cornerstone of Christian liturgy for over 1500 years. Bethel Music’s Brian Johnson, along with Daniel Bashta, crafted a fresh melody for this timeless chorus, which seamlessly combines historical reverence with modern worship.

Says Ligertwood, “When Brian brought this ancient chorus with a new melody to Jason Ingram and me, the rest of the song flowed forth, with verses that gratefully reflect on ‘what joy,’ ‘what mercy,’ and ‘what beauty’ it is to walk with Christ the Holy One until and after all the earth is filled with His glory. As for church, I personally love it when modern worship leans liturgically – praying the same prayers as those who have gone before us in the Lord, singing a chorus already sung for thousands of years and being sung unto and in eternity. For me personally, this joining together musically in worship is simply one moment in a context of being joined together by many years of worship together off the stage, in actual friendship and relationship.”

Bethel Music has been at the forefront of the worship music movement for over a decade, producing songs that resonate with believers worldwide and “Holy Song (Live)” promises to be a powerful addition.

Bethel Music is a worship movement pursuing the presence of God and capturing fresh expressions of worship out of Redding, California. Bethel Music has grown from a local church music ministry to an internationally renowned collective of songwriters, artists, and musicians. Brian and Jenn Johnson co-founded this movement in 2001 to raise up worshippers, take hold of their true identity, and pursue intimacy with God above all else.

Since 2001, the Bethel Music collective has released 18 worship albums, including “Homecoming (2021),” “Simple (2022),” “Come Up Here (2023),”and most recently “Moments: Wait (2024).” Each album carries a unique theme and features some of the most well-recognized artists in the genre. In 2021, the label was nominated for 6 Dove Awards, and another 11 in 2022, spanning across categories like “Songwriter of the Year”, “Worship Album of the Year”, and “Inspirational and Rock/Contemporary Songs of the Year”.

Since forming, Bethel Music has broken records, ranking in CCLI’s top 25 songs since 2013. Their song “Goodness of God” has continually ranked as the top charted song since it was released in 2019. “This Is Amazing Grace” has ranked in the top 100songs since 2014, “No Longer Slaves” since 2016, and “The Lion and the Lamb” since 2017. In addition, “Reckless Love” has appeared in the top 25 since 2018, and “Living Hope” in the top 10since 2019.
