I love the fact that God often uses my job situations to speak to me. This note will be short. However, I hope that it will bless someone.
For about four years, I worked in a contact center environment. I did not have non stop calls coming into any queue. If someone needed to call us, they called us. If we weren’t there to pick up the call, they left us a voicemail. Our job was not to take phone calls. We were in position to handle processing. So, when it came to lunch, we were able to decided when we wanted to go. They let us know that we could leave as early as 11 AM but had to be back by 2 PM.
Fast forward to my new job, I’m now in a call center environment. Since there is a queue in place now, there is a need to make sure that there are a specific amount of people in place to handle the call volume. This means that our lunches are assigned. It is important that we take our lunches at the proper time. If we don’t then we are not properly staffed to handle the volume.
Simply put, we are not working in an age where we can afford to miss a phone call. We must make sure that we are operating in the perfect plan of God. The perfect plan is a schedule of events ordained by God. The amount of work that must be done is large. This means that there needs to be people manning the phones during all hours of operation.
If you are not present and accounted for when you were on the schedule to be working, you’re hindering progress. There is no longer this window of time that exists for you to go when you feel like it. You go when you are told because your actions have an impact on the whole.
One of the things that body of Christ has gotten away from is UNITY. We’ve become very disjointed and very self centered. Division is a device of the enemy to keep us from being effective. We cannot handle the volume of the work if each person is not abiding by their assignment. Make sure that you are present and accounted for…
