J. Pyles is self-proclaimed preacher’s kid, worship leader, minister, and entrepreneur. Pyles serves as a worship leader and minister at Tabernacle of Family Worship Center (TOP), and is committed to ministry and sharing God’s word. J.Pyles is a powerful vocalist and songwriter who grew up playing the drums and singing.
Pyles always had a passion for music early on, and his gift was cultivated in the church. His love for music and ministry has always been prevalent in his life. Singing with Gospel legend Darryl Coley was definitely a milestone in his musical journey. Pyles credits his vocal styling to Coley and other Gospel greats that paved the way for so many artists today.
Pyles continued to sing and create music into adulthood and followed the path of breaking into R&B for a few years. Pyles was able to open-up for top mainstream artists on the “Millennium Tour” which featured, B2K, Bow Wow, and more. In 2019 Pyles pivoted back to his first love, Gospel music. He found his purpose again in singing the Gospel and says, “he’ll never go back!”
In 2019 he released an EP titled “PK Behavior” and was able to secure placements on other music projects, and on a few films. In early 2022 J.Pyles released his first single to Gospel radio, “Just Listen”.
“Just Listen” has an urban contemporary feel and encourages believers to stay focused and to keep putting their faith in GOD no matter what. The chorus sings “don’t you stop it, God is going to bring you out, He’s so faithful, He’ll never ever leave His child.”
The song is accompanied by a concept video on youtube that resonates with everyday life situations and amplifies the powerful message of God’s love. “Just Listen” has been featured on Get Up Mornings w/ Erica Campbell, Sirius XM, and radio stations all over the country.
For Pyles it’s a dream come true and he thanks God for His grace and being able to share with others. Pyles shares, “I just love to make timeless music about Jesus that people can relate to and highly enjoy! God blessed me with a unique gift to create music that all ages, cultures, and genders will enjoy, so I plan to use my gift to glorify him for as long as I physically can….”
In August of 2024 Pyles released his newest single “I Want It ALL”. Its the lead single for his forthcoming EP “Set Apart”. “Set Apart” is set to release on 9.20 to all digital outlets. It’s sure to give listeners an idea of who J.Pyles is.
