The Myles & Ruth Munroe Foundation Partner with ITWLA to Honor Legacy of Myles & Ruth Munroe

The Myles & Ruth Munroe Foundation, along with the International Third World Leaders Association (ITWLA), will host Legacy Weekend on November 8-9, 2024, in the picturesque setting of Nassau, Bahamas

This year’s theme, The Legacy of Leadership, promises an inspiring two-day event that will feature a powerful memorial, an awards ceremony, leadership sessions, and a special Legacy Walk to remember, culminating in a Legacy Reunion Concert featuring Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams and Sherwin Gardiner, hosted by Chairwoman Deavra Daughtry

As we commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of ITWLA patriarch Dr. Myles E. Munroe, his wife Pastor Ruthann Munroe, Dr. Richard Pinder, and other cherished members of the ITWLA family, this forum will serve as a moment of reflection and celebration. Additionally, we mark 38 years of ITWLA’s unwavering commitment to transforming followers into leaders and leaders into agents of change.

Myles Jr., one of the event organizers, emphasizes, “This is the first time we’ve organized an event of this scale. Even though it’s been a decade since their passing, my parents’ legacy continues to thrive.” Charisa adds, “Together, their legacy is one of empowerment—encouraging others to live purpose-driven lives and leave an indelible mark on the world.”

This is your chance to connect with fellow leaders and gain the tools needed to drive positive change in your communities. Join us in honoring a legacy that continues to inspire and transform lives.

As we enter the twenty-first century with its promises and perplexities, a generational change of leadership is emerging and transpiring around the world. There is a fresh wind of a new leadership spirit everywhere, especially among developing Third World peoples in every nation.

Many of these leaders have been drawn to each other due to common vision, purpose and passion. Through these casual encounters, many have discovered their oneness in vision commitment and concern for their cities, nations and generations. Many have expressed a desire for relationship, friendship and a support system with leaders of like vision.

Over the fast few years, this desire has intensified and hundreds have been meeting and cooperating, providing moral support, inspiration and fellowship throughout the world.

ITWLA is a response to this development and is dedicated to providing an official focus and reference for enhancement of these relationships. ITWLA has become a world-wide family of Leaders embracing every discipline, providing friendship, inspiration, education, professional and technical training and a forum for accountability for thousands.

ITWLA headquarters is established in Nassau Bahamas, with other offices established in several other nations. Membership continues to expand its influence through providing consultancy services to governments, civic organizations, educational agencies and corporation.

They were known as powerful evangelists, inspirational and the most recognized influential Christian leaders that The Bahamas has ever produced. There’s little doubt that Dr. Myles Munroe and his beloved wife Ruth left a legacy.

November 9, 2024, marks the 10th-year anniversary of their untimely deaths. The Munroes perished along with seven others namely Senior Vice President of Bahamas Faith Ministries Dr. Richard Pinder; Lavard ‘Manifest’ Parks, his wife Radel and their son Johanan, Farkhan Cooper, Captain Stanley Thurston and Diego DeSantiago.

The Munroes left behind two children Myles Jr. (Chairo) and Charisa, who are carrying the mantel of their parents’ foundation. The late Munroes often appeared with notable Christian figures and were a staple on famed Christian television shows such as the 700 Club. Dr. Munroe was often the executive producer and principal host of a number of radio, television and global network programs that aired worldwide.

He often spoke about finding purpose, leadership and many other issues affecting human nature. In 1998, Dr. Munroe received the Silver Jubilee Award for 25 years of outstanding service to The Bahamas in the category of Faith, and the following year, he became The Bahamas’ youngest recipient of the Queen’s Birthday Honours of the British Empire (OBE) Award, which was bestowed on him by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth of England for his spiritual and social contributions to the nation’s development.

Dr. Myles Munroe was a global ambassador for personal development, leadership and Kingdom Living, constantly challenging individuals to discover their purpose and cultivate their gifts. Ruth Munroe embodied grace and strength, serving as a spiritual pillar and community leader, emphasizing the importance of faith and family.

Together, their legacy is one of empowerment—encouraging others to live purpose-driven lives, lead by serving others, and leave an indelible mark on the world. Their teachings remain timeless, continuing to inspire those seeking to unlock their potential and influence their communities.
