This Week’s Billboard Top 10 Gospel CDs: Fred Hammond Debuts at #1, Lecrae Moved to Another ChartOn the Billboard Gospel chart this week we have a new #1. Gospel legend Fred Hammond debuted his new album “I Will Trust” on top after first week sales were tallied.

JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise continue to sell well coming in at #2 with “I See Victory,” and Motown Gospel’s Christmas compilation comes in third.

If you’re wondering where Gospel rapper Lecrae is on the charts.. Billboard executives have made the decision to move all rappers to the Christian Music charts. Lecrae will now compete with the tougher Christian Contemporary chart, in which he came in 7th this week. Trip Lee was also moved off the Gospel Top 10.

Falling out of the Gospel top 10 this week is Andrea Helms and The Rance Allen Group.
