Over 2,000 African American journalists from news outlets around the country gathered in Orlando last week for the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists.
After a week of informative panels, award ceremonies, workshops and receptions, the convention culminated in the highly anticipated Gospel Brunch on Sunday in the Osceola Ballroom of the Gaylord Palms Hotel. RCA Inspiration artists Latice Crawford and Deitrick Haddon delivered rousing performances and helped end the conference on a spiritually uplifting note.
Latice Crawford performed “It’s Gonna Be Alright” — which will be featured on her upcoming CD; and a beautiful rendition of the seminal “Reach Out and Touch” – which was befitting the early morning event.
Deitrick Haddon had the crowd on its feet with his powerful “He’s Able” and performed “Well Done” and other favorites before ending with his current single “Have Your Way.” People are still buzzing about his performance, which lit twitter up immediately:
