For a second straight week Gospel icon Kirk Franklin is #1 on the Billboard Gospel charts. Franklin’s album “Losing My Religion” is the pioneers first album in over 4 years. Deitrick Haddon’s “Masterpiece” continues at #2, while Tasha Cobbs’ sophomore album “One Place LIVE” takes #3. New in the top 10 is choir master James Hall who lands at #10 this week.
In the world of Gospel radio, the #1 song remains “Worth” by Anthony Brown & Group Therapy. Travis Green’s “Intentional” leaps Kirk Franklin’s “Wanna Be Happy” which falls to #3.
In Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) the top albums are Christmas projects. “Adore” by Chris Tomlin is #1 and MercyMe is #2 with “MercyMe, It’s Christmas.”
The #1 song in CCM is “My Story” by Big Daddy Weave. The Christian music star shoots up the charts going from #5 to #1 in just one week.
Falling out of the Gospel top 10 is Kierra Sheard’s album LED.
