Los Angeles To Host The First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party On Saturday, January 25

Los Angeles To Host The First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party On Saturday, January 25Gospel music is the most inspiring genre created and Women Working Together, Inc., aims to celebrate this sacred music while recognizing renowned spiritual leaders during the First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party.

Taking place on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the L.A. Live JW Marriott in Los Angeles, CA, the event is the first of its kind. In addition to spirited performances by up-and-coming and popular Gospel artists, the evening will recognize the contributions of a varied mix of faith leaders. With a theme of “Our Unity Is Our Success”, the praise party will include a VIP Reception and Meet and Greet at 5:30PM.

The Dinner and Awards Ceremony will begin at 7:30PM. Tickets can be purchased for all portions of the Praise Party at www.grammygospelpraiseparty.com or by calling 323.537.3646. Tickets can also be purchased on-site immediately prior to the event at the Will Call Table.

A highlight of the First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party will be the VIP Reception, which will be attended by movers and shakers. The First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party Dinner and Ceremony will feature the talents of Comedian Michael Colyar, who will be the host of the Awards Ceremony. The presentation will honor clergy, educators, businessmen and women, community leaders and entrepreneurs, specifically African American “Ministers of Distinction”, who have had a great impact in their communities.

The event will distinguish the accomplishments of the following trailblazers: The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam), Bishop Lacy K. Sykes (Cross Word Christian Church), Emeritus Minister Wazir Muhammad (Nation of Islam), Pastor Wayne Chaney (Antioch Church), Chaplain Tariq Aquil (California Correctional Institution), Bishop Noel Jones (City Of Refuge), Businessman Danny Bakewell, Rev. Dr. Cecil Murray, Imam Ameen Omar (Masjid Al Shareef), and Iman Abdul Karriem Hasan (Masjid Bala Center). Gospel music will be front and center at the Praise Party and the evening’s program features music by Gospel artists including GRAMMY Award Nominee Lowell Pye, J. Boykin, Nicole “Nikki” Potts, Yolanda Harris, Jamelle Jones & FREED, Tony Jones & E-MERGE and Sean Dancy.

Carmen Williams, CEO of Women Working Together, Inc., is thrilled to host the event. The brainchild of Williams, the First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party gives her a chance to celebrate those in the faith community who have inspired her. “I am so excited about the First Annual Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Party,” says Williams. “We are delighted to pay tribute to African American leaders who have impacted the nation and rejoice in song with some amazing Gospel artists. I believe this will be the first of many Pre-GRAMMY Gospel Interfaith Awards Praise Parties. Come and join us as we give God praise.”
