Bishop Noel Jones is hoping to help a church pick up the pieces after their Pastor was murdered in the pulpit at a revival service taking place at the Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center in Lake Charles, LA.
In September of 2013, Pastor Ronald Harris’ death made national headlines when a love triangle revealed that Pastor Harris was sleeping with his former deacon’s wife. The deacon, accused killer Woodrow Karey, shot and killed the Pastor after discovering text messages between his wife and Pastor Harris. After being confronted about the affair Karey’s wife claimed she was raped by the Pastor, giving investigators a clear motive for the public execution.
Bishop Noel Jones and Deitrick Haddon will be taping a special episode of The Preachers of LA during a two night revival at the church where the slaying took place. Jones makes it clear to PATH that he’s not there to take sides telling Path MEGAzine that he wants the church to “continue being a beacon of light.”
Jones went on to say, “I never knew Pastor Ronald Harris, but I was touched by the tragedy that gained national attention.” Bishop Noel Jones reached out to the widow of Pastor Harris and has been working behind the scenes to be a blessing.
The Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center is located at 307 Deshotel Lane, Lake Charles, LA 70615
Gospel star VaShawn Mitchell will be the special guest psalmist during the services.
