The song delivers a powerful reminder that no part of a person’s story is wasted, not the broken moments nor the tears that seem to make no sense at the time.

Raised in a small town in North Georgia, CJ’s musical roots were planted early. Her first performances happened in her living room with a Hannah Montana karaoke machine, guided by parents who nurtured both her faith and creativity. With a childhood shaped by church hymns, bluegrass festivals, and the southern rock sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Marshall Tucker Band, music became both her language and her calling.

While CJ initially leaned toward country music, a season of spiritual growth during her college years in Nashville sparked a deeper transformation. Her hunger to grow closer to the Lord shifted her focus toward Christian music, where worship and testimony became central to her songwriting. She soon began leading worship at her church, discovering a passion for sharing the Gospel through songs that feel honest, lived-in, and deeply personal.

“God Uses All Things” was written from that place of authenticity. The song speaks to the reality that faith is often formed in the middle of the mess, not after it is cleaned up. With lyrics that reflect hard-earned hope, the song declares that every broken piece, every tear, and every detour can be redeemed. Lines like “All of my broken, all of my tears, turned to a river that brought me right here” echo the heart of a testimony that is real, imperfect, and rescued by grace.

Co-written by Camryn Jade Prather alongside Andrew Pruis and Paul Duncan and produced by AJ Pruis, the song blends heartfelt worship with CJ’s signature southern-influenced sound. Biblical imagery woven throughout the lyrics points to a God who turns water into wine, brings life from what seems dead, and uses even the roughest chapters for His purpose.

With “God Uses All Things,” CJ Prather continues to carve out a space in Christian music that bridges contemporary worship with classic southern soul. Her voice carries both strength and vulnerability, inviting listeners to trust that no story is beyond redemption and no season is beyond God’s reach.

“God Uses All Things” has been released to Christian radio and is available in Christian AC and Praise and Worship formats.
