Pastor David A. Porter, Sr. is a gifted songwriter, anointed singer, and passionate preacher of the Gospel.
Following his chart-topping debut album WINNER, Pastor Porter returns with a new project, GOODNESS & MERCY. His EP is a soul-stirring collection that celebrates God’s faithfulness through powerful lyrics, heartfelt worship, and rich biblical truth.
“I’m beyond excited to introduce my EP that represents a heartfelt musical journey celebrating God’s faithfulness, grace, and love,” Pastor Porter explains. “Each song was birthed from personal moments where I experienced the goodness and mercy of God firsthand, and now I’m honored to share that testimony through song.”
GOODNESS & MERCY is his 4-song project that guides listeners into an atmosphere of worship and gratitude. The title track is a simple and soulful song with a classic hymn resonance. “Goodness & Mercy” carries a powerful healing presence with featured vocalist Keith McGlown, Sr.
“Our God Reigns,” featuring Sarah Weaver Porter, is an anthem of empowerment and assurance that uplifts the spirit. “I Press” is a motivating track with an unforgettable hook, encouraging listeners to press forward in faith. Pastor Porter includes his very first music composition, “Fruit of the Spirit,” which he wrote in the late 1990s. The calypso-inspired song delivers a timeless message of love and the transcendence of that love to one another.
From worship ballads to island-inspired rhythms, GOODNESS & MERCY blends a variety of Gospel styles designed to refresh the soul and remind us of God’s unfailing love. The EP is produced by Pastor Porter and Michelle Carter Williams, with Pastor Porter’s wife, Hope Porter, serving as executive producer. The EP is available now on all digital music platforms.
