Legendary Stellar Award Winning Atlanta radio station “WIGO Atlanta” proudly announces the addition of award-winning radio personality, DJ, and executive producer DJ Ms. Eclectic (Shantelle Thompson) as its new midday host.
Eclectic (Shantelle Thompson) as its new midday host. Her new show, “Midday Vibes with DJ Ms. Eclectic” officially joins the station’s lineup as WIGO celebrates an iconic 65 years of broadcasting excellence.
A Texas native with a truly vibrant infectious personality, and distinctive voice, DJ Ms. Eclectic embodies the true definition of her name, drawing from multiple styles, formats, and cultural influences to create a powerful, engaging, and uplifting media experience. Whether on air, behind the turntables, or producing compelling content, Ms. Eclectic has carved out her own lane in the media industry through authenticity, creativity, and purpose-driven storytelling.
Ms. Eclectic’s career is decorated with notable industry honors. She is a 2X GABBY Award winner from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for her work as an executive producer, and the recipient of the 2025 RICE “Rising in Community Excellence” Award for Outstanding in Media. In addition, she was inducted into the 2023 Class of “Dope Women in Radio”, presented by The Spin Awards, and made history as the first woman to win “DJ of the Year” at The Spin Awards, along with earning “Female DJ of the Year” at the Gospel Hip Hop Awards.
A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Ms. Eclectic began her radio journey in her hometown at Tha 1 Radio, San Antonio’s top urban internet radio station. Her career trajectory includes serving as Music & Program Director for New Praise Radio, launching The Mixtape with DJ Ms. Eclectic, making recurring DJ appearances on Radio One, and holding the role of Executive Producer for the #1 midday show On Point with Juandolyn Stokes. She also hosted Good Vibes with Ms. Eclectic, Audacy Atlanta WAOK’s first lifestyle show.
