Gospel music’s coolest crooner Jason Nelson and his wife Tonya Nelson had a stellar weekend. The attractive couple was a sophisticated presence on the red carpet of the 40th anniversary Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Nashville.
Nelson wore a marron ensemble and was styled by Felipe G who has clothed a who’s who in urban entertainment. Tonya styled herself with a charming cream suit. Social media influencer Karlton Humes (aka NotKarltonBanks) ranked the couple 9.5 out of ten on his character Kaya Bun’s Stellar Awards red carpet fashion review.
Nelson, who was nominated for nine Stellar Awards, took home a trophy in the category of Contemporary Album of the Year for his critically acclaimed project, You Belong: Live in Durham. The set includes the current velvet smooth radio single “Made New” with Madison Ryan Ward that is currently climbing the radio charts.
The project also features the Billboard No. 1 Gospel Airplay chart hit, “Yahweh,” a collaboration with Melvin Crispell III.
