Jonathan McReynolds Earns Grammy Nomination for Soul-Stirring Duet with American Idol Winner Jamal Roberts

GRAMMY, Dove, & Stellar Award-winning gospel singer/songwriter, Jonathan McReynolds joined American Idol Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts for, “Still,” a soul stirring ballad of reflection & worship – now earning them a GRAMMY nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song.

“Still (Live)” is a worship-ballad textured with soulful instrumentation and an emotional crescendo of gratitude and is available now wherever music is sold and streamed.

We are humbled and grateful,” said McReynolds. “This nomination is not just for us — it’s for everyone who brought this moment to life.”

“I still can’t believe it,” added Roberts. “From my hometown to this… God is doing something.”

Jonathan McReynolds, a multi-Grammy-nominated gospel trailblazer known for blending contemporary soul with transparent faith, first recognized Jamal Roberts during his time as a contestant on American Idol. When McReynolds penned “Still,” he says Roberts’ voice immediately came to mind. Their combined chemistry — the seasoned grace of McReynolds and the fresh, raw energy of Roberts — elevates the live recording into a stirring expression of hope, redemption and unwavering love.
