The trumpet is used in worship for various symbolic and practical reasons, drawing from its biblical significance as a sound of calling, announcement, and celebration.
Educator, producer, and recording artist William Fluker is a trumpeter who uses his instrument in worship and as a clarion call for others to honor and celebrate the presence of the Lord. In follow-up to his popular debut solo single, “Clarion Call,” William Fluker has a new single for the holiday season, “Agnus Dei (Lamb Of God).”
Agnus Dei is the Latin name for “Lamb Of God.” The most notable scripture is John 1:29, where John the Baptist sees Jesus and declares, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”. There are many classic tunes and popular sounds of the season that fill the airwaves, shopping malls, and gatherings. Fluker invites you to take a moment to resonate in his instrumental version of “Agnus Dei (Lamb Of God),” and celebrate the birth of Christ, who is the Lamb of God.
“These are trying times that we are living in, and this song is a sweet reminder that God is with us,” says Fluker. “Agnus Dei is a song of declaration and truth that the Lord is holy and worthy of all of the praise – a supporting prophecy of the coming of the arrival of the Son of Man.”

Affectionately known as “The Kid’s Music Man,” Fluker specializes in classical and Jazz literature, performance, and coaching musical ensembles. He has performed with greats Ray Charles, Ali Woodson (of the Temptations), James Ingram, the late Brazilian jazz trumpeter Claudio Roditi, the late American Latin jazz flautist Dave Valentin, and received the 2023 Gospel Choice Music Awards Gospel Jazz Artist of the Year Award.
