After much anticipation The sequel to “Waiting to Exhale” is getting close to a recording date.
At the Essence Music Festival, the author Terry McMillian said she’s working on the third draft of a script and hopes to have it finished by July.
“This won’t be on the screen until sometime in 2012 though,” she warns.
McMillan broke the story on Twitter a few months ago, tweeting, “We are working on the script for ‘HAPPY.’ Will know in about a month or so when we’ll begin production.”
And on Whitney Houston, she’s still hopeful she’ll come around and recover in time. Whitney reportedly entered rehab again.
“We’ll know soon enough,” she said. “I’ve been told that’s she wants to do it, and I think the studio wants her to do it. We all want her to do it… I just hope she’s healthy.”

Ty Adams, an internet Evangelist and best selling author is knocking down Christian taboo topics with her new reality series “Real Housewives of the Bible.”
The Reality Series will be presented in two-parts on DVD. It tracks six women dealing with the ups and downs of marriage as they strive to be good wives.
The controversial series is getting national attention thanks to a CNN profile of the show, and a LIVE interview scheduled for Friday, July 8th at 9:40am/est.
Nationally syndicated radio host Corey “CoCo Brother” Condrey recently had Adams on the show, who took exception to CoCo Brother’s disclaimer that cautioned viewers that Ty Adam’s views were not that of parent company Radio 1’s views. This didn’t stop callers from flooding the phone lines wanting to hear more of what Adams had to say about relationships, that she delivered in a raw fashion using biblical analogies.
Recently, when a friend texted me the title of the show I text back two capitalized words hysterically. Those words were HOT MESS! But as I heard Ty Adams break down her pitch for the show, I became optimistic that someone maybe able to get something biblical from the modified concept.
“The Real Housewives” series and VH1′s “Basketball Wives” inspired Ty Adams to create a more wholesome version of the franchise. “I was frustrated with what I was seeing,” says Adams. “A lot of society is looking towards programming to educate them on relationships and these shows haven’t effectively done that.” We All Bow Down To Something “They have ruined and tainted our ability to secure good relationships and to make women into good wives,” said Adams, who is based in Detroit. Adams has provided Christian relationship advice for nearly ten years, since she founded a production company called Heaven Enterprises in 2002. She’s the author of Single, Saved and Having Sex, and has produced a number of religious DVDs.
Each character on the show represents a different woman from the Bible. A character based on the biblical Sarah struggles with infertility. (The biblical Sarah was barren until she reached old age). Gold-digging women are likened to Delilah from the Book of Judges, who seduced and deceived Samson – who’d fallen in love with her – through repetitious requests. And the show features plenty of Jezebels.
The DVDs are available to order now. CLICK HERE to order on Ty Adam’s website.

Songwriter, vocalist and producer, Isaac D. Simpson is the visionary behind Divine Providence, also known as DP. Simpson, who comes from a long generation of singers, songwriters and entertainers, has been involved with music since childhood. He began to conduct professional workshops and direct citywide choirs at an early age. By the time he was twenty-six, he had conducted workshops throughout the U.S. and in the Caribbean Islands, Great Britain and Europe. He has shared the stage with gospel greats, Vicki Winans, James Moore, Marvin Sapp, Kurt Carr and Rance Allen. He graced the stage with Coretta Scott-King, appearing as a special vocalist at a celebration honoring her and appeared on the Bobby Jones Gospel Hour.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Simpson founded DP in 1998 to give young Christian adults an outlet to share their music with the world. He came up with the name Divine Providence while listening to a sermon by Bishop George “Awesome” Dawson. The name means ‘instantaneous will of God.’ In just one year’s time, the energetic youth chorale from Central Ohio produced an album titled “He Loves Me.” Written, arranged, and produced by Simpson, the project is influenced by jazz and hip hop.
Isaac Simpson is a 3 time Gospel Music Academy Award winner and brought home the national title of Best Overall Artist. Fresh from their recent overseas tour of Italy and Switzerland, Isaac Simpson & DP have completed their second CD entitled “The Process,” which will be released August 9, 2011.
The Process. The highly anticipated sophomore release from international recording artist, Isaac Simpson & Divine Providence reinvents praise for the 21st century. Their multidimensional worship transcends musical genres with relatable lyrics and anointed, innovative musical arrangements. Each track has something for every individual that longs for a deeper and passionate relationship with God. “THE PROCESS,” Simpson says, “will engage the listener to develop a deeper relationship with God and flourish in every area of their life.”
Simpson believes that this generation will be saved through gospel music. “Gospel music is wonderful,” he said. “It has the ability to transcend from generation to generation.” Transcending generations is one goal Simpson shares with DP; the second is helping others bring their lives into focus with their God-given purpose.
As a motorist passed by St. John’s Baptist Church in a Sapulpa, OK, a small town outside of Tulsa, he didn’t expect to see a flaming cross planted right on the front lawn. The incident happened last week.
The Creek County Sherriff’s office took pictures and collected evidence from the scene but no arrests have been made. However, there are three persons of interests including an 18-year-old and two teenagers, all white males.
“They were bored and it was something to do. That’s what the adult said,” said Lt. Charles Redfern in an interview with Reuters. “They did say they wish they hadn’t done it.”
WATCH VIDEO HERE FROM NBC’S KFOR NEWSCHANNEL 4
The cross, made up of wooden parts from a waterbed was propped on a chain link fence before it was set on fire. This isn’t the first time the church has been targeted. It’s been both burglarized and vandalized, suffering broken windows and damage from thrown rocks.
The churchgoers have not let the incident get them down. “I love even the one who did this,” said church member Cornelia Booker to NBC’s KFOR NewsChannel 4. “I love them, but I don’t love what they did.”
The U.S. Attorney’s Office is joining local, state and federal authorities including the FBI to investigate the attacks.
