In an exclusive interview with Rhodell Lewis of gospel radio station MyPraiseAtl, Rev. Bernice King explains why she decided to leave Eddie Long’s New Birth Church.
She said that it had nothing to do with Long’s settlement of his sexual misconduct case, and that she didn’t “resign” from any position since she was never employed by New Birth to begin with.
Bernice said she set down to speak with Bishop Eddie Long way before the controversy received legs as a result of the sexual allegations by 4 young men accusers.
A plethora of media outlets were speculating that the move was due to the Bishop Eddie Long settlement. King thanks Bishop Eddie Long and New Birth, and says she will begin her own ministry.
