We need an Injection of Spiritual Health and Fitness Back into this Country. Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1,2 As we approach the New Year let's take a different attitude towards how we look at Health and Fitness in this Country.
Did you know that over 60% of the Americans in this country are considered overweight and unfit and that over 50% of our children suffer from obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and can not even pass the President's Physical Fitness Test. Black Men are nearly twice as likely to die from cancer as the general population, black babies are twice as likely as white babies to die before their first birthday. The rate of Aids among blacks is more than triple that among whites, and over sixty percent of African American women over the age of 40 are considered obese?

While the statistics in this country are staggering, it's up to each and every one of us individually to stop and make a change by renewing our minds and making spiritual health and fitness a part of the new you this year by walking as Christ walked, present our bodies as a living sacrifice and bodies of Christ, that is His pleasing and perfect will for us for the new year. Try to incorporate fitness into your Corporate and Family's daily agenda and start by thinking about being healthy and fit and then act upon those thoughts by starting slow with a short walk, jumping jack, push-ups, sit-ups, things that you can do right in the comfort of your home, and remember which ever direction this generation decides to take it's going to take the country with it!
