This Weeks Top Gospel Albums: Rapper Lecrae on Top of Sales for 6th Week, Christmas Songs Moving Up the Charts


Lecrae’s latest release Rehab stays atop the Billboard Top Gospel Charts for a sixth consecutive week. The album also enters at #19 on the Top Rap Albums Charts and #24 on the Independent Albums Charts. Triumphant from VaShawn Mitchell jumps four spots to enter at the #2 spot. William McDowell’s As We Worship: Live enters this week at the #3 spot, its highest chart position ever, while Marvin Sapp’s Here I Am comes in at #4. A Brooklyn Tabernacle Christmas from The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir rounds out the week’s top five albums. In other chart news, the compilation album A Gospel Christmas moves four places to #12 while Aaron Neville’s I Know I’ve Been Changed moves six positions to #20.

In the world of radio, “I Believe” from James Fortune & FIYA featuring Shawn McLemore and Zacardi Cortez spends a second week atop of the radio charts. “Nobody Greater” from VaShawn Mitchell enters at the #2 spot while “He Wants It All” from Forever Jones moves to the #3 position. “I Choose to Worship” from Wess Morgan holds to the #4 spot while Jonathan Nelson’s “Expect the Great” rounds out the week’s top five songs.
