The story began in 2019 at the Woodstock Experience Festival, where Nelson and Krizan first crossed paths.
Both had deep roots in the music world—Nelson had played alongside icons like Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, and Buddy Guy, while Krizan earned acclaim with The Spin Doctors, Lenny Kravitz, and Noel Redding.
Their shared love for bluesy rock sparked an instant connection. When Nelson invited Krizan to join him on stage, the chemistry was undeniable.

Later that year, the two decided to channel their creative synergy into something special—a Christmas song. They teamed up with hitmakers Dave Gibson (a #1 Nashville songwriter) and Cheryl DaVeiga (an award-winning songwriter), and together, they brought “All I Got for Christmas” to life.
“All I Got for Christmas was the Blues and a Broken Heart” is a soulful collaboration between two musical powerhouses: the late Grammy Award-winning blues legend Paul Nelson and the dynamic rock/blues/soul virtuoso Anthony Krizan, known for his electrifying guitar work with the Spin Doctors.

This heartfelt track is more than a Christmas song—it’s a celebration of musical legacy, friendship, and the timeless power of collaboration.
