On last week, another gospel luminary finished his course. Rev. Gerald Thompson died in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife Vicky and family at his side.
The popular former Air Gospel artist was a master songwriter, musician, and singing producer who perfected the art of Sunday Morning worship with his hand-clapping, foot stompin brand of music. With popular hits to include “I Found Jesus” and the
Billboard charting “Jesus Is My Rock” Rev Thompson worked with a bevy of artists to include Rev. Timothy Wright, Tommy Ellison, Madame Lucille Pope, Rev James
Moore, Arkansas Mass Choir, and the Swanee Quintet just to name a few but his most significant collaborations were the four projects he produced for “The Songbird of the
South” Ms. Dottie Peoples. In addition, he had a successful projects of his own on AIR GOSPEL to include “Let The Church Say Amen, Live In Chicago, Deliverance In The
Praise, and Let The Church Say Amen Again” Thank you Rev. Gerald Thompson for all of your contributions. Rest In Peace
