‘Secret Place: Live In South Africa’ was recorded on February 27, 2016, at the famed MOSAÏEK TEATRO in Fairland, Gauteng, South Africa (a suburb of Johannesburg).
Tune in to see the stunningly captured concert which incorporates the beauty, power and sounds of South Africa with a prominent sound of worship that has become VaShawn Mitchell’s signature. The live atmosphere and energy from the South African audience vividly translates on screen and reflects the power of Gospel music and the unifying power of worship.
Highlights on the one-hour special will include the popular hit song “Joy,” a brilliant performance from Motown Gospel artist Tasha Cobbs whose undeniable connection to the sound of worship can be heard on “Jesus Reigns,” and a show-stopping appearance by BeBe Winans who joined Mitchell on the remix of his iconic hit “Nobody Greater.”
Mitchell effectively incorporates South African and American singers and musicians on “Turning Around – Siyakudumisa” featuring renowned South African Pastor, songwriter and worship artist Reverend Benjamin Dube. That song, which is translated to “there’s none like You,” unified the entire audience in an explosive multi-cultural worship experience.
