Comedian Akintunde has confirmed that he is in the final stages of closing a television distribution agreement that will land his live stand up comedy special, Akintunde Live From Atlanta: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But on a major cable television network in the very near future.
Says Akintunde, “We’ve been working on a deal with a leading television distributor to deliver the special and other projects that we currently have in development to TV for a while now. This will be the first release from our new relationship.”
Akintunde would not confirm the name of the distributor or the television network at this time, but that he and his wife, manager, and producing partner, Eunissa Warnock are currently developing a slate of television projects to include, stand up, unscripted and scripted content all featuring Akintunde’s unique brand of comedy.
The stand up comedy film was produced in partnership with Arrow Global Entertainment and their company, No Joke Entertainment.
On August 30th, Akintunde will be in Dallas for Mega Fest 2013: TD Jakes presents Just Churchin comedy show. The full line up will include Cedric The Entertainer, Nece Nash, David Mann, Michael Jr, and Cleto Rodriguez.
Akintunde’s appearance was confirmed on last week by his Agent Tamra Goins of The Resolution Agency. The 3 day conference is one of America’s largest Christian events. The appearance at Mega Fest follows Akintunde’s most recent appearance at Creflo Dollar Ministries The Gathering in College Park Ga. which drew thousands to the week long family event.
Akintunde recently filmed an appearance on the stand up comedy series, Off Da Chain with Rodney Perry. The episode is set to debut this fall on the Bounce TV network.
