Bishop Noel Jones set down for a recent interview at the Essence Festival, and answered questions about his appearances in the new Preacher’s of L.A. reality show.
The show has taken a lot of heat before it’s even been released because of a racy trailer video recently released. Some Pastors have even organized a boycott on the popular Change.org website.
Jones states, “Any time you’re in a church environment people get caught between their traditional concepts; and some are more liberal.” “People who are conservative get nervous; The more liberal are looking and hoping there’s a message in it.”
“My original attention was not for this to be an evangelical tool,” Jones explains, that he did this to reduce the iconic peddle-stool Pastors are placed on.
Noels had a biblical perspective to his ladder statement, and further explained his ownership of extravagant cars in the video.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine! In so many words…this show is not a platform to bring folk to Christ! Get over it! It’s purely entertainment! Purely! However, I do respect the point of balance in life. It is good that they show that side of their lives!
