On the Billboard Gospel charts this week Christmas CDs continue to flood the top 10. Record label Motown Gospel’s compilation “Motown Christmas” is at #1 for a second straight week.
Fred Hammond moves up a spot coming to #2 with his latest “I Will Trust,” and after originally debuting at #1, J. Moss comes in at #3 this week in his third week on the charts.
Newcomers on the charts this week, is the compilation CD “Gotta Have Gospel Christmas” presented by various artists in the industry. The Blind Boys of Alabama & Taj Mahal continue to spread the Christmas cheer this time of year, debuting their CD “Talkin Christmas” at #9. And lastly, congratulations to Earnest Pugh protege John Paul McGee who clawed his way into the top 10 with his new Christmas EP “A Christmas with John Paul.”
Falling out of the top 10 this week is VaShawn Mitchell and the compilation CD “Gospel Icons.”
