Author Regina Howard Releases Christian Fiction Novel SECRET IN THE PEW

Regina Howard, Evangelist and author of From the Spirit to the Heart of the Young Youth Devotional, has released her first Christian fiction novel SECRET IN THE PEW.  Through this fascinating Christian fiction story comes encouragement to single or married women who might have or are experiencing a hard time letting go of the one thing or person that has held you back from being all God has called you to be.  “Don’t let the distractions of life cause your destiny to be delayed,” says Regina Howard.  “You have the power to walk through the storm and the rain if you will just keep your eyes on God.”

SECRET IN THE PEW is about Passion Taylor, a young woman whose life is in order to all who know and love her.  However, Passion has a secret that even her new husband Kris knows nothing about.  His name is Terry.  Passion has some things to get straight, before it’s too late and before it ruins her new marriage.  Temptation is a strong tactic from the enemy, constantly shoved in the face of Passion, but she has to do what is right in order to maintain a right relationship with God and with her husband.

God always has a way of giving us an escape plan from the sin in our lives, the question is, do we take it?  Readers will be  fixated by this  gripping story and learn from the life of this young woman.  You might be surprised to find an answer to something or someone you are questioning in your life.

Secret in the Pew is a true page turner. I finished the book in two days because it was so hard to put down. This book holds a message that everyone needs to read. Thank God for the message and the messenger!”
 ~E. Nicole (Alabama)

“Wow! This book contains all the things that make for a great summer read…love, drama, intrigue. I did not want to put it down! The characters are loveable and easy to relate to. Terry is definitely a guilty pleasure!”
~L. Arroyo (Georgia)

“The true secret is that the author has written an insightful and refreshingly intriguing romance novel that is oh so relevant to the times! This novel oozes of passion without the sexual explicitness you find in most GOOD romance novels.  In writing Secret in the Pew the author has revealed a secret of her own….she is a novelist extraordinaire in the making.”
  ~M. Houston (Georgia)

“Anyone who has been paying attention knows all about Aaron’s success in Gospel Music,” says EMI CMG Publishing President Eddie DeGarmo, “but fewer understand the passion, expertise and finesse he brings to other genres such as pop and rock. It’s a true honor to work with a songwriter – and person – of his caliber, and we can’t wait to see this next chapter of his ministry and career unfold.”

As a multiple Stellar, Dove, Soul Train and GRAMMY winner, Lindsey’s accomplishments have been acknowledged and respected among his peers and avid music lovers internationally. Copyright Battle for Song “Nobody Greater” Hits New Low as Writers Dispute Dismissal of Lawsuit

The fight for Copyright of the smash hit single “Nobody Greater” recorded by VaShawn Mitchell is turning out to be a back and forth battle with no truth in sight.

Earlier this week it was reported U.S. District Court (Southern District of New York) Judge Richard Sullivan had dismissed Travis Malloy’s copyright infringement claim against songwriter Darius Paulk, EMI Christian Music Group and Sony Music Holdings related to Vashawn Mitchell’s #1 Billboard Hot Gospel Songs “Nobody Greater.” The announcement was reportedly made July 9, 2012.

Now the Malloy camp is firing back saying that the case has not been dismissed and has sent the following statement to Path MEGAzine.

“The lawsuit of Travis Malloy vs. Darius Paulk has NOT been dismissed and continues to move forward within the judicial court of Judge Sullivan.”

Here’s what we know to be fact.  In late summer 2011, aspiring songwriter, Travis Malloy, claimed co-authorship of Paulk’s song and filed a copyright infringement claim against EMI Christian Music Group for releasing Vashawn Mitchell’s blockbuster hit “Nobody Greater” without his permission. The suit also named the writer of “Nobody Greater”, Darius Paulk; and Sony Music Holdings which owns the Verity Records label that licensed the song for its successful “Wow Gospel 2011” double-disc compilation CD.

In his suit, Malloy, argued that he has not received writing credit nor royalties from radio airplay and music sales for the song. Paulk adamantly denies Malloy’s claim to authorship. “I wrote Nobody Greater during a very traumatic period in my life in 2008,” Paulk says. “It’s my testimony. I was laid-off because of downsizing at my job. I had just gotten a car and a new place. Also, my grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer. The message of the song reflects my personal struggles and victories. Travis Malloy did not contribute to the creation of this song. I wrote the lyrics and melody by myself in the privacy of my home. His claim is baseless… Truth always comes to light.”

When gospel superstar Kirk Franklin won the Stellar Award for Song of the Year in January 2012, he pulled Paulk and Mitchell to the stage with him to accept the award. “That song has ministered to me so deeply,” he said to the audience before looking back at the duo and offering, “… I would be honored to share this award with you guys.”

Travis Malloy is an aspiring Gospel singer and recently just released a self-titled digital album.  We will be following up on this case to get official news on the continuance or dismissal of the lawsuit.  Until then listen to the song “Nobody Greater” as only VaShawn Mitchell could perform it.

Angie Hall Beyond Expecations… Thoughts From An Unspoken Mind

For Angie Hall, music has always been a constant companion.  Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, music was commonplace in a household where everyone was a singer, musician, or both.  This absorption of musically is now manifesting in a passionate songstress ready to embark on a life of music ministry.

The Florida resident has a new project Beyond Expectations…Thought’s From An Unspoken Mind (Available On iTunes)  that is establishing a notable presence for the soft spoken vocalist.  The first radio single “I Wanna Know” garnered favorable airplay with several number one chart placements at internet radio.  The follow up single “I Give You My Praise”  <<(click to listen), is a rock-infused, edgy praise anthem that is balanced out with a singable affectionate hook.

Angie is a humble, talented vocalist who has a quiet demeanor, hence the title“…Thoughts From An Unspoken Mind“.  That quiet demeanor, however, dissipates when she ministers in front of an audience.  Her vocal ability interchanges fluently from sweet pure worship resonances to commanding demonstrations of vocal power.

Her project is proving to be ‘Beyond Her Expectation’ with the overwhelming support and acceptance from the gospel industry.  For those that personal know of Angie’s talents, she was usually the humble vocalist offering support and remaining in the background.  Now, this new artist is firmly moving forward in order to encourage and be a blessing to others through her own music.

“Angie Hall’s ‘I Give You My Praise’ is new contemporary sound that is urban gospel at it’s best!”
Daulton Anderson, WHCR 90.3FM NYC – Morning Praise

Angie Hall’s debut indie project Beyond Expectations…Thought’s From An Unspoken Mindhas garnered numerous award nominations, including three 2012 Blue Mic Awards (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Artist of the Year), and five 2012 Ensound Music Awardnominations from the (Urban Female of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Artist of the Year).
