GSN announced today that Grammy® Nominee and multi Dove Award winner Natalie Grant will host IT TAKES A CHURCH, a new one-hour pilot in which the members of a church go on a mission to find love for one lucky, single parishioner…without his or her knowledge.
Grammy nominated Christian vocalist and multiple Dove Award winner Natalie Grant is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, TN. Natalie’s work has gained international acclaim, including five GMA (Gospel Music Association) Dove Awards for Female Vocalist of the year. A mainstay on the Billboard Christian Songs chart with numerous #1 hits over the past decade, Natalie-re-affirming her status as one of gospel music’s most popular artists-is enjoying out of the box success with her recent infectious title track “Hurricane,” which quickly hit #1 on iTunes, charted on Billboard and Media base and is the fastest rising single of her storied career.
On October 23, 2012, Grant received the 2012 Bishop Ketteler Award for Social Justice from the Sisters of Divine Providence, who honored her for her work against human trafficking. Natalie founded Abolition International in 2005 to provide quality restorative aftercare to human trafficking victims both domestically and internationally. Natalie is represented by Maxium Artist Management & Fox Rothschild.
Each week, IT TAKES A CHURCH visits a congregation from across the country to surprise one unsuspecting single with the news that they’re about to be saved from the dating world. The church’s Pastor will task their congregation of cupids, to find the best possible matches for the dater, but in the end, our single will decide which suitor to put their faith in. The congregant who brought the chosen suitor will make a difference to their church by winning a donation on its behalf.
IT TAKES A CHURCH is produced by Authentic Entertainment for GSN, with Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton (“Flipping Out,” “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”) serving as Executive Producers along with Richard Hall (“The Amazing Race”) of Great Blue Productions. Sean Kelly (“Minute to Win It”) is Consulting Producer.
The WORD luck is not affiliated with GOD in anyway. Blessed is the appropriate word.
