New Artist Victoria Griffith’s Successful Debut CD Release Capped By #1 Radio Single

New Artist Victoria Griffith’s Successful Debut CD Release Capped By #1 Radio SingleIn the six weeks since new artist Victoria Griffith released her debut CD,Wellspring in the Wilderness, the Alabama singer has been in the midst of a whirlwind that has included appearing on multiple national television shows, attending one of Christian media’s largest conferences and enjoying a No. 1 radio single.

Wellspring in the Wilderness released independently March 5, the week that Griffith attended the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) annual conference in Nashville. While at NRB, the vocalist was interviewed by numerous Christian media outlets, including Campus Crusade for Christ Radio, The Christian Post and Sonoma Christian Home. Griffith left Nashville and rounded out her Street Week activities with appearances on WATC-TV’s flagship show,Atlanta Live in Atlanta, andNiteline on WGGS-TV in Greenville, S.C.

She then traveled to spend a week at Cornerstone Television Network in the Pittsburgh, Pa., area, where she taped two episodes of His Place and performed live on FOCUS 4 and World-Wide Worship InterACTIVE.

While Griffith was making the rounds among Christian media, her debut single, “I Place My Trust In You,” was making inroads at Christian radio, and found its way to the No. 1 spot on the Christianradiochart.com chart.

“I’m so excited about the great response to my debut single!” says Griffith. “I’m walking by faith, trying to do what God has called me to do, and it’s really encouraging to get this kind of feedback. Thank you to everyone who is playing the song!”

Griffith’s successes with her new CD come after a circuitous life path that included learning she was pregnant while recording the 10-song CD, followed soon after by the news that she had a brain tumor which required immediate removal. Thankfully, Griffith emerged successfully on the other side with a riveting testimony and a CD filled with songs that exude hope and grace, and perfectly showcase the singer’s stunning, country-inflected vocals.
