Tobbi & Tommi, best known for the sweet soprano sounds their voices loan to multi-award winning ensemble Donald Lawrence & Co., emerge into their own light today, with the release of their debut single “Light” from BAS Music Group (Damita Haddon, Brittney Wright, Lil’ Mo).
Born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, the sisters are deeply rooted in their family’s love and support. “We are creating a legacy that reflects a life that is pleasing to God,” says Tommi. “We’re excited about this new season God has afforded us!” adds Tobbi, “we look forward to sharing some of who we are in song.”
The single “Light” was produced by BAS Music Group and written/vocal produced by Brandon Avery Smith who has crafted singles this year including “Be Alright” by Brittney Wright which received substantial buzz within the Gospel community and appears on the James Fortune presents: Kingdom Music Vol. I compilation releasing later this month. Tobbi & Tommi look forward to continuing the recording process and trust that the release of “Light” will translate into a full album to be released 2014.
