Veteran background singer-songwriter Andrea McClurkin Mellini’s solo debut CD Higher, has all the musical flair to propel her to the forefront of gospel music with its encouraging and uplifting message of hope in troubled times.
“God is still doing great things, and we need to encourage one another,” she says. God Can, the first single, expresses Andrea’s core belief in the promise of personal and spiritual renewal. “We live in a crazy world. I want people to know that God loves them in whatever state they are in, no matter what they’ve done, or where they are, and that there is hope.
The single was written by her gospel superstar brother, Donnie McClurkin. “The song simply says that God can do the impossible…He can do whatever you need Him to do.”
The album Higher is set for a summer release on Donnie’s new record label, Camdon Music.
