In the Gospel community many know Al “The Bishop” Hobbs as the Chairman of the National Gospel Announcers Guild. Hobbs is one of the lead organizers of the historic Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), and one of the most recognizable faces in the industry.
Known for his distinct raspy voice, many or just finding out about Hobbs’ three year battle with cancer.
His daughter Asha Hobbs updated his status recently as The Bishop continues radiation treatment. Asha has organized a fund to help with expenses.

My name is Asha Hobbs, youngest daughter of Al “The Bishop” Hobbs. I am writing to summon your support and financial assistance. As many of you may be aware, my father has been battling cancer for over three years. Currently, he has completed his final radiation treatment and is on the road to recovery, but he needs YOUR help!
We have established a fund entitled “The Bishop’s Helping Hands” via Paypal so that friends and supporters that are looking for ways to reach out and support will be able to do just that! This is an opportunity to make a donation; the size or amount of the contribution is up to you.
