On the Billboard Gospel charts, the heavy hitter Israel Houghton debuted his first week sales at #1 with his new album “Covered: Alive in Asia.” Last weeks #1 Anthony Brown & Group Therapy comes in at #2, and Karen Clark-Sheard spends her second week on the charts , coming in this time at #3.
In the world of Gospel radio someone finally surpasses Marvin Sapp’s hit single “Yes You Can.” Pastor Charles Jenkins now has the #1 single at radio with “War.”
In Christian Contemporary Music (CCM), Israel Houghton’s project also crosses over and tabs for this genre as well, leaving the international star at #1 on two Billboard charts. Lauren Daigle is this weeks greatest gainer, coming in at #2 with the album “How Can it Be.”
The top CCM song at radio remains “Flawless” by MercyMe.
Falling off of the charts this week is Carlene Davis and Derrick ‘Doc’ Pearson.
