Tyler Perry recently spoke to The Yolanda Adams Morning Show about his new movie Single Mom’s Club. The movie opened to lack-luster ratings securing only 8.1 million in box office sales opening week.
This marks Tyler Perry’s worst opening weekend since becoming a film-maker. The movie finished fifth behind Mr. Peabody & Sherman at #1, and 300: Rise of an Empire at #2.
Before the movie opened at the box office Tyler announced to the morning show that he would be taking a break from film, and concentrating on television. After halting his first look agreement with Lionsgate, and these recent numbers, it maybe a good time to press pause.
