One of Brazil’s most popular pop singers, Father Marcelo Rossi of Mother of God church, has opened a massive new Roman Catholic sanctuary that can hold up to 80,000 people for Mass, hoping that he will continue the growth of the religion in the Latin America country.

Memphis’ most dynamic young gospel ensemble, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, has taken a large leap ahead on its trek to stardom. Seasoned singer Lisa Page Brooks pushed Marvin Sapp’s “The Best in Me” out of the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart in 2010 with her monster #1 smash, “I Wanna Say Thank You” and now she’s back on the scene with another intoxicating hit, “Better Than Life.” The song is currently #31 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart and the lead single from Page’s forthcoming CD “Better Than Life” that will be released on Habakkuk Music on February 5, 2013.
The Motor City native will perform the song live Friday, November 9th on the big unveiling of The Word Network’s new state of the art television production facility. She’ll be performing on the cable channel’s flagship primetime program, “Rejoice in the Word” that airs @8:30-10:00 p.m. est.
