For the first time in years two Gospel rappers sit on top of the Billboard Gospel charts. Lecrae and Canon hold the coveted spots. For Lecrae this is his 6th straight week on top of the charts. Since appearing on top of the Billboard Top 200, Lecrae along with his label Reach Records has proven Gospel Hip Hop is here to stay.
Canon comes in at #2 with “Loose Canon V2.” The 3 Winans Brothers come in at #3 this week with their new release “Foreign Land.”
Jumping to the 4th spot is the resurgent CD “Live Through It” by James Fortune. After 33 weeks on the charts the CD is still selling well.
And congratulations to 16 year old Jekalyn Carr, who debuted her new project “It’s Gonna Happen” at #9 during her first week sales.
